They're the oddball mayor of Little Respite, and they guide and protect their community with fierce determination. Though they sometimes oversleep, and they sometimes make decisions with their heart more than their brain, they are a beloved leader. Everyone sleeps a little easier knowing Tea is on the case!
She named herself Tea because she looks like a delicious cup of milk tea. She loves tea of all kinds, and has even been known to chew on dry tea leaves.
Background:
Tea grew up in the Twinkling Clearing alongside their littermates, Wildfire and Cannellini, as well as Stream and xyr siblings. Tea was always a little obsessed with Stream, finding xem to be great fun and endlessly fascinating. Despite being the younger of the two, Tea always joked that Stream needed a "big, strong protector" like them, so "nothing bad would happen to that pretty melon full of clever thoughts." When Stream left the Twinkling Clearing to help establish Little Respite, Tea couldn't help but follow.
In Little Respite, Tea quickly grew very popular. A good friend, a hard worker, and an asset to the local adventuring team - wherever she went, she seemed to brighten everyone's day. Her confidence and brave heart helped everyone in the village feel a little stronger and braver.
Despite her young age, when it came time for Little Respite to elect its first mayor, the response was nearly unanimous: with 22 out of 31 votes, it was clear that the community wanted Tea and no one else!
Over time, Tea has accumulated multiple partners, including her childhood friend, Stream, and her adventuring partner, Spark. While the trio was raising their first litter of beans together, however, they encountered a hurdle, as the kittens developed behavioral problems due to a medical problem none of the parents could figure out. During this time, Lily - who had raised children before and encountered the same problem in the past - came to their rescue. As Lily aided the trio in helping their children, the four of them grew closer, and Tea and Lily fell in love. It was soon decided that Lily should join the polycule, officially adding a fourth parent to the little ones' family tree.

- Stream: Tea's childhood friend, who was born just a few days before she was. She has had a crush on xem ever since they were children. Stream finds Tea fun and incredibly charming, and in turn, Stream is Tea's rock in stormy weather.
- Spark: Tea's other partner, whom she goes adventuring with. They enable each other's inner child. They first fell in love when Tea kept throwing herself into danger for the thrill during expeditions and Spark, exasperated, had to keep sprinting after her with the gauze.
- Lily: Tea's third partner, who is also her secretary. Tea brings a ray of warm sunshine into Lily's life that parts the gray clouds in their little heart. She greatly values their attention to detail and their vast amount of life experience, and she is quite convinced they might be the wisest not-cat in the world.
- Specter and Marble: Tea, Spark, Stream and Lily's children. She loves playing with her babies and learning all about their interests. She can sometimes be a little bit irresponsible because she's so busy indulging their every whim.
- Hearthflame: Tea's sister-in-law through Spark. The two are also adventuring buddies. They get along very well and often hang out without Spark being present, too.
- Doe: A good friend and long-time adventuring buddy, whom Tea cares about and respects very much. Since Doe has watched over the village from the beginning and Tea is the mayor, the two of them often work together to care for the community.
- Cloudcover: Another fellow Twinkling Clearing not-cat. Though they weren't close growing up, Tea has known Cloudcover since she was little and the two both moved to Little Respite around the same time. Because they grew up in the same village, they know a lot of funny stories about each other.
- Wildfire and Cannellini: Tea's littermates, whom she was very protective of when they were children. Even though they're all grown up now, Tea still has a habit of babying them, which Wildfire thinks is great, while Cannellini finds it a bit bothersome. The two often come visit her, usually unannounced, which delights Tea every time - all that mayor-stuff can wait! (Lily is somewhat less delighted. Mayor Tea, your appointments ..!)
- Sheeps and Granite: Tea's parents. Though neither of them are really able to keep up with everything going on in Tea's life, they're very supportive and affectionate with her, and Tea takes their love and support as a matter of course. She sometimes has to navigate minor issues in the family, like managing Sheeps generally being a little creeped out by Spark, or Granite's blithe enthusiasm socially cornering Lily a bit at times, but Tea takes it in stride - that's just what it's like having a big family!
- Other family: Tea has more family out there in the world, but she only met a few of them a couple of times growing up. She sends cards around the holidays, but otherwise, they don't really talk.

- Her previous trinket was an ancient lantern she had held on to since childhood. It was fun and nostalgic for her, but she found another trinket she liked more.
