They like rainbows a lot. "It's really just light reflecting in water," they often say, "and there isn't really anything there except a bunch of wet. But it's so beautiful anyway." The way they say it makes the not-cats around them want to give them a big hug.

When Halo migrated from Earth, she was only a child, and she no longer remembers anything about her life before being adopted by her parent, Coffee. Growing up, she had a close relationship with her parent, as well as with her other adoptive siblings, who had all passed through Nestor's portal at a young age, same as her. However, although Halo was deeply loved by her new family and never wanted for nothing, she struggled to feel at home on Not-Earth. Was it because she left something important behind on Earth that she has now mostly forgotten? Was she simply not suited to being around so many other not-cats? Perhaps it was because she never had littermates of her own ...
Halo eventually decided to move out from home to go see the world. Maybe the answers they were looking for lay somewhere out there in the wilds of Nestor's Wood.
Wanting a bit of distance to their family home, they set up their home base in the cozy, small-town community of Little Respite. Whenever they need a break from traveling, Halo returns to Little Respite to rest up and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
