Echo is scared of everything, from other not-cats to xyr own shadow. When Nestor presented xem up for adoption, he suggested it would be best with parents where one of them could be present most of, if not all of the time. With Bliss and Haunt just having had a litter, and Quail having wanted children for a while, them plus Camellia seemed like a perfect fit.
Trying to wean Echo off of constantly clinging to xyr nearest parent isn't the easiest task in the world, but despite being a bit of an oddball, xyr parents love xem very much and dote over xem whenever needed.
Echo made friends with Burr on Burr's first day in the village, both being newcomers and all. Echo is a little braver with Burr around, and has really gotten into Starball; enough that xe will play with Some other not-cats, as long as Burr is also playing.
