This kitten is soft-spoken and a bit of a worrywart. Aura Quartz cares a lot about everything and everyone, and ae wants to be helpful to everybody around aer. At the same time, ae isn't sure ae's good for much of anything.

At the same time, ae craves friendship with the other kittens in town, so ae always shows up where something interesting is happening. Unfortunately, because ae keeps aer cards close to aer chest, the other kittens have only come to the conclusion that Aura is extremely interesting, so they all watch aer closely whenever ae tries to join in on the fun ...

- Phantom Quartz: Aura's littermate. Because their parents tend to pay more attention to Aura than to Phantom, Phantom has considered Aura a rival their entire lives. Aura would, in fact, be more than happy to pass all of that unwanted attention on to Phantom, and is honestly pretty annoyed that xe can't see how bothersome it is. Aura wants more than anything to just be friends with Phantom and be normal kids together, but since xe's decided to be a big jerk for no reason, ae sometimes lets it slip that ae wishes someone else was aer littermate ... which only gets xem fuming even more.
- Smudge: Aura's closest friend since the two of them could barely speak in full sentences. All their lives, Smudge has treated Aura like any other kitten, and Aura loves that about aer. Though Smudge isn't the easiest person to decipher, it's quite clear that ae enjoys Aura's company, and often seeks aer out when ae needs a break from Nacre's excitableness and Tigerlily's attitude. At times, Aura wishes Smudge was aer littermate instead of Phantom Quartz, but since Smudge also appears to be close with aer own family, Aura doesn't want to impose too much.
- Chirrup and Smoky Quartz: Aura Quartz and Phantom Quartz's parents. Because Aura was born with inverse white markings and Smoky is terribly distrustful of the magic of Not-Earth, Smoky has spent all too much of Aura's life fretting for aer safety. It doesn't help that he has realized that since Chirrup has piebald white markings, the inverse markings must have been passed down through his own bloodline. Aura doesn't understand the full extent of aer dad's worries, but ae can tell aer very existence has caused him a lot of stress ... Chirrup tries to counter-balance Smoky's worrying by always believing in Aura 110% and telling aer every day that ae is actually something very special and wonderful, but that doesn't really make Aura feel like less of a weirdo. Though ae can tell both of aer parents love aer very, very dearly, the pressure from both sides is hard to tolerate sometimes. It really doesn't help that the more their parents focus on Aura, the less attention Phantom gets, and the meaner xe becomes to Aura.
- Nacre: Smudge's littermate. Like Aura, Nacre has inverse white markings, and because she's so confident and happy the way she is, Aura can't help but look up to her and envy her in equal measure. Maybe if they became friends, Aura could learn to be a bit more confident too! If only she didn't also take up so much of Smudge's time ...
