You would think, being a fluffy black watercolor, Hammer would stick out like an albino in the night when he runs through the snow. You'd be wrong to assume this, of course. Hammer is a MASTER of camouflage.
With her silver armor newly shined, her tail tucked carefully between her legs and his light fantail pigeon friends hiding most of his dark fur with their wings, they had the perfect oppurtunity to do a little mischief among this mottled snowy landscape. Being a rather pleasant not-cat, she didn't want to do anything mean, of course. Just a bit of light-hearted fun.
Scurrying across the land like a living pile of snow, she finds her target - her unassuming littermate, Knight. The two looked rather similar, so much so that if they swapped clothes, you'd only be able to tell from the faint markings in their dark fur whose who! Unfortunately, Knight doesn't have Hammer's expert sneaking and camouflage skills during the winter season. Maybe he could help them with that...
And just like that, a plan was formed.
As Hammer begun to close the gap, she leaned onto her hind legs, using her forepaws to gather a lump of snow. Knight was too busy tending to their critter companions to hear the wet crunching of snow.
And if they did notice, it was far too late.
A chill made their fur bristle as the snowball collided with the back of their head, and they loudly beeped in suprise. Knight whipped their head around, ready to yowl at whoever assaulted them for interrupting their activities, but seeing the grin on their littermate's face disarmed any anger they had in them.
Hammer snickered and began to run, pigeons flapping and chirping behind them, and soon Knight decided to give chase. Being much faster than Hammer, Knight was quickly able to catch up and pounce onto him.
The two rolled around for a while, pawing at eachother and laughing, till they both tired and decided it was time to ask Mayor Parsnip when today's Luncheon would be taking place.
