Wind and Stone
AKA: "Etran installs a village not-security system"
(Nobody gets pinged as nobody joined the pinglist)
Thistle is dedicated to their newfound hobby of taking care of plants. The fruits of their labors are mostly herbs and wildflowers, but they find joy in the flora nonetheless.
The wind appears to have knocked down her first decoration, though. "Aww, come on!" she pouts, "Why does the North Wind have to be so mean to my decorations??"
"Um, I think these are Trade Winds."
Rust was planning on taking a nap after a short bout of figuring out how to make cotton and then giving up halfway through and helping Thistle out, but this seems like it is in danger of interrupting that.
The construction of
stone fortifications has just been completed by
Etran's request, and that seems to be where most of the cats are gathered.

The Front Gate has just finalized construction as
Tyfin meets up with
Etran on a notably delicate matter. Etran shows his best friend the crumpled-up note that he had received just a few days prior:
"So you can see why I had this stone fort setup post-haste, right Tyfin?" Etran mews.
"Obviously, you couldn't have done all of this by yourself. I've been noticing more not-cats roaming the village, are they your hired helpers?"
"Well, yes, but they came not wanting much in return.
Legume was happy to just help out for all of maybe 50 seconds but fell asleep soon after. Most of this was done with the help of both
Finch and a very great craftscat named
Jade."
Tyfin flicked his tail outside. "I've seen them both with swords - I trust your account of their work ethic is just as accurate as how well-kept their weapons are. Especially Jade's blade is really nice. But why? Why are they armed?"
"That was Finch's idea" Etran admitted. "He wants them to double as guards, protecting the Front Gate from monstrous intruders, like how our other guardian duo is doing
at the Creepy Caves."
The star-crossed tortie nodded. "Has that
apologetic intruder ever shown back up again?"
"Not that I'm aware of," the grounded dilute tortie responds.
Minty is glaring at
Pike, notably upset about something. "I'm well aware that
Thistle didn't want the Nightgloom, but why did you have to put it in MY workstation?"
"Thought it looked better in your area. Besides, might scare away any intruders in your poor choice of location." Pike glowered.
"Come on Pike,"
Bracken Ridge pouted, "There's better ways to spend your time outside of patrol. Try teaching something to our good friend
Abrielle, for one."
The Null warrior turned to the lazy ginger longhair on her belly, amusing herself by pretending to paw at the fast-moving leaves which are way too far out of her reach. Pike sighs heavily, and the wind seems to carry his sigh.
