Positioned on a moderate bluff in the depths of the forests, Alabaster Ridge is a community of not-cats loosely governed. While a 'mayor' has been instated in recent times, residents are driven and guided by their own inclinations, except for times of serious strife or criminal activity.

While this often leads to a not-cat or two having a rebellious or even harmful streak and taking advantage of such a system, other cats find the freedom a relief -- as they prefer to do what they can when they can for their kin, as opposed to strict 9-5 schedules and rigid rulesets.

Sick or disabled cats are also welcomed in without question, with Breadbun always making an extra loaf or two for the impoverished.

The Ridge itself, for which the community is named, is a 70ft tall and unknown-length wide rippling rockface of chalk and stone, leading down into thick verdancy yet unexplored -- any cats who have braved the cliff-face have not returned. While troubling, this comes also as a boon, being a natural defense upon two-thirds of the community's exterior that prevents intrusion.
