The Lakeside
Bordering the west of Mew Beginning is a large freshwater lake. The waters are pristine and along the shore you can see right through them making it an ideal place to fish. In addition to being a source of food & water for the village it's also often used for recreational swimming, especially by the younger not-cats.
Once a year, during the summer, the whole village gathers for a picnic and a swim. This event is always preceded by a ceremony in which the not-cats give offerings of gratitude and food to the lake & it's many aquatic creatures.
