One of the first resources Woodnote established was its mine. However, it was a while after that the smithy was built. It was decided to place it as near the mine as possible; after all, most of the resources it would take would come from the mine, and most of the mine's products would go to the smithy for refinement. The mine, and the caves it weaves through, is a source of adventure and excitement without too much danger, especially for Woodnote's kittens and adolescents who are just starting to explore the wider world.
Woodnote's smiths can produce anything, from the smallest, most intricate jewelry to much larger pieces. They delight in making beautiful works of art out of what started as lumps of metal.
